What to include on a Cooking Gas Receipt

  • Gas plant or shop name and phone
  • Cylinder size or kilograms filled
  • Price per refill, or the rate per kg in the item name
  • Accessories sold, such as hoses or regulators, on their own lines
  • Payment method and date
  • Receipt number

Example: a filled Cooking Gas Receipt

The sample receipt shows two refills, a 12.5kg and a 5kg cylinder, each on its own line. If you sell by the kilogram, write the rate in the item name, for example "Refill 7kg at ₦1,300/kg", and enter the kilograms as the quantity. Gas prices change often, so the prices here are only examples.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Not stating the size. "Refill x2" does not show what the customer received. Write the cylinder size or kg.
  • Old prices saved in a template. Check the day’s rate before you send the receipt.
  • Leaving out accessories. A new hose or regulator should be its own line so the refill price stays clear.
